The Greenways and Blueways Plan has been completed!  Based on comments from the open houses held last month the final draft was revised and submitted to the NIRPC Environmental Management Policy Committee (EMPC) at their December 6 meeting.  The EMPC has recommended the plan for adoption by the NIRPC Executive Board at their December 13, 2007 meeting.

If you are interested in the criteria used to establish these potential greenways and blueways, the map titled "Hydric Features" provides an overview of hydrological features of the region.  Also, the Keyhole Markup Language (KLM) files in the folder MAP LAYERS_KLM provide information on additional features that were taken into consideration.  For more information on using these files, please see the README file in the MAPS and KLM folder.
