Demographics

NIRPC creates and maintains a large amount of demographic data for the region.  Demographic data includes information about the general population such as age, education, and employment.

American Fact Finder- Official data access and interactive mapping system that displays the Census Bureau's information for any area of the country. Below are some of the area of the site that may be useful:

Indiana State Census Data Center- State Data Centers assist the Census Bureau by disseminating Census and other federal statistics. The Indiana State Data Center makes the Census and other federal, state, demographic and economic statistics available through a statewide network of affiliates located in state agencies, universities, libraries, local planning agencies, small business development centers, and non-profit organizations.

USA Today- Online data profiles, graphics, and mapping applications for states, counties, and cities.

KIDS COUNT- Indicators of child well-being from Census 2000 in an interactive online database.

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)- Demographic data for U.S. public School Districts.
