Creating a Non-motorized Culture in Northwest Indiana

NIRPC's Ped & Pedal Committee (PPC) meets every FOURTH Thursday at 1:30pm. The PPC is open to ANYONE who is interested in shaping bicycle & pedestrian polices in the NWI region.

NIRPC has created a message board for all those interested in commenting about our non-motorized network.  From trails to sidewalks, and even our emerging water trail routes, this is the forum to ask questions and generate ideas.  Regional and national non-motorized-related events will also be regularly posted. Northwest Indiana Bike Map - GET YOURS!

It's here and it's FREE!  The inaugural NW Indiana Bike Map has been released throughout the region.  Please note that if you live in Lake, Porter and LaPorte Counties - PLEASE pick up a copy at your local town or city hall, park facility, library, or bike shop.  You can also pick up copies at NIRPC offices in Portage. 

 

If you live OUTSIDE the three-county NIRPC region, please send an email to mbarloga@nirpc.org requesting your copy and providing a mailing address for us to send it to.  You may request up to three copies of the map free of delivery charges.
