Yesterday, Indiana Dunes Tourism National Park, along with the Miami and Potawatomi tribes, helped celebrate the progress on the Indigenous Cultural Trail at the Dunes Visitors Center. THIS Wednesday, September 27th a special dedication and celebration of the Indiana Dunes Indigenous Cultural Trail will take place at the Indiana Dunes Visitors Center starting at 3PM. NIRPC staff taught Michigan City elementary school students about water quality and aquatic bugs during Trail Creek Week, September 18-22. As part of the field trips, students also paddled Trail Creek in 24-foot voyager canoes and learned about birds, fish, and invasive species.
