I-65 Added Travel Lanes
The Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) held a 30-day public comment period on three documents related to a proposal from the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to build additional travel lanes on I-65 between State Road 2 and State Road 10. The public comment period commenced on March 16, 2016 and ended on April 15, 2016.
Public comment was gathered on Amendment #2 to the 2040 Comprehensive Regional Plan Companion Update, Amendment #17 to the 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program, and a new Air Quality Conformity Analysis which includes this project. The proposed project segment will add to the previously approved added travel lanes on I-65 between US 30 and State Road 2.
